MORE ABOUT THE DRIVER...
How did you get into Monster Truck driving? I was 19 when Monster Trucks debuted in the early 1980's. It was love at first sight! I knew someday I would build and drive my own Monster Truck. I went to every show and pit party I could, to learn about building and driving Monster Trucks.

What did you do before racing Monster Trucks? I was a mechanic all my life, I never played any sports. I was turning wrenches since I was 6 years old. A lot of people think engines are nosiy but to me the roar of the engine is like music to my ears.

What are you looking to accomplish this season? I would like to take my freestyle to a new level this year.

What is the best thing about being a Monster Truck driver? I love the fans and the response they have given me so far. I love my sport. The more I develop as a driver, the more the fans show their appreciation.

Career Highlights: Putting the fans on their feeet in the Indianapolis RCA Dome and Minneapolis Metro Dome.

What is your favorite stop on the tour? Minneapolis, MN - Metro Dome

Give four separate words that describe racing Monster Trucks? awesome, excitement, power, thrilling

Describe what it is like to be a Monster Truck driver in one sentence? The thrill I get performing in front of screaming fans is totally awesome!

Four separate words that describe you? determined, outgoing, strong, funny

Describe yourself in one sentence? It's plain and simple, I'm a guy who likes to have fun.

What is the best part about signing an autograph for a kid? The thrill and excitement of the look on their face.

What do you do to prepare for the season? I keep myself in shape year round, I have a test track for my truck in my backyard also known as "the Monster Truck's Playground". I video tape the truck so I can watch how the truck is performing and make adjustments. The truck is tested and retested until we feel we are 110%.

Are you working on anything new for this year? Changes to the truck, etc.? Between each and every show I try to make the truck better, faster, and more reliable.

What is the best thing about your truck? What separates it from the rest? I built my truck from the ground up, therefore I know it inside out. It has proven to be a very reliable and tough truck so far. When I roll up to the line, I am relaxed and confident that we can get the job done.

What gets you pumped to compete? The roar of the engine, the roar of the fans, and always wanting to outperform my last performance.

Best advice to kids who want to become Monster Truck drivers? Go to every Monster Truck show and pit party that you can and talk to the drivers and ask a lot of questions. Watch Monster Jam. You can learn a lot just by watching. That's how I got started.
